WHAT MAKES A MAN?

What has happened to the courageous, righteous men the world once knew? God has an ordained plan and design for the world which defines men as leaders, protectors and providers. This simple truth was once readily accepted and passed down from father to son, grandfather to grandson and uncle to nephew. Somewhere along the way, manhood became confusing. Men were both demonized and diminished. As men submitted to this new role society had decreed for them, families suffered, the world grew more confusing and God’s plan for humanity spiraled out of control.

It takes a good man to lead a boy in the ways of God-ordained manhood. As author Stu Weber put forth in his book, Four Pillars of a Man’s Heart: Bringing Strength into Balance, an authentic man is a king, warrior, mentor and friend. Men provide, protect, teach and connect with others. It is these beliefs that have led to the formation of the Knights of the Redeemer (KOR). KOR is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization based in Omaha, Nebraska. KOR is dedicated to training boys to become men, reminding men of their God-ordained roles and instilling the ethos of chivalry in men’s hearts. This training will result in men capable of faithfully serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to provide members with knowledge in everything from firearms safety and hunting to home maintenance and self-defense. They will be led to develop discipline, physical fitness and biblical knowledge that is respectful to all Christian denominations.

The men that started this journey felt called to turn our small group into a movement to change the culture; igniting God-ordained virtues that dwell in every man’s heart. Toward this goal we guide boys through the confusion of the modern world and confirm their status as men upon reaching maturity.  The confirmation of their identity leads into continued fellowship with other men on the same path; reinforcing, guiding and supporting the development of God-ordained attributes.
